Disseminating Event, Jardin des sciences – University of Strasbourg, November 19-20, 2024 /

For the past two years, the Erasmus+ Teaching with Objects project has aimed to encourage and support innovative approaches to object-based learning in higher education. More specifically, it aims to collect, evaluate and share methods and tools for teaching using objects from university museums and collections.

Led by six European partners and in close collaboration with members of the Universeum network (a European network of university heritage professionals), the aim is to build a platform of innovative tools and methods, and to establish a sustainable network of practices encouraging teaching with objects from museums and university collections.

As coordinator, the Jardin des sciences is organizing an event in November to promote the project's results, aimed at European professionals (teaching, conservation, education) and students from all disciplines interested in the subject. The event will provide an opportunity to disseminate the report resulting from the first Europe-wide research project on the subject. It will also provide an opportunity to present the online platform, with a view to encouraging further contributions. Last but not least, it will be an opportunity to test and evaluate different practices in practical workshops.
